Newcastle (or Newcastle-Upon-Tyne) has always been a great place to visit; it’s renowned for sightseeing with some of the most popular sights in Britain and also holds a reputation for a fantastic night out too! So whatever you like in life, whether it’s great shops and bars or maybe something more unusual, Newcastle will have it for you.
During the day it’s best to see the sights; Newcastle is steeped in history and even used to be a defensive fort on Hadrian’s Wall. It is now one of the most influential Cities in industry and one of the largest growing tourist destinations in England. You can visit the stunning Angel of the North or even take a walk along the infamous Tyne Bridge. If you would prefer to find your culture inside however, you can find many museums around the town. You could even take a trip to the Castle to find out more about Newcastle’s illustrious history. If you are looking for a good meal or maybe even a drink, take a trip down to the Quayside. You will find hundreds of restaurants and bars here and if you fancy staying over then there are many hotels to rest your head for the night.
On a night out in Newcastle you need to be sure you do things right! Try to catch a show before your night out and take a trip to see Newcastle’s Boulevard to really get the night off to the best start.  The cabaret show is proud to present you with a mixture of Burlesque and Broadway. It is run by Betty Legs Diamond who you can’t help but love. Your hostess for your evening will be Miss Rory, she is a fabulous 7ft drag queen with a sharp tongue and even sharper wit that will have you laughing all night long! The show is made up of 3 floors and provides a variety of fantastic bars. You can also get pre-book VIP and Diamond VIP to get access to the special bars that are only for private and large parties. This really is the perfect way of kick starting your night, whether it’s for a Newcastle Hen night, Stag or even Birthday party.
Depending on what your taste, Newcastle is sure to cater for it throughout your night. It could be a spooky night out at in Gotham Town surrounded by plenty of gothic scenery, so be sure to dress up to fit in! If you decide that’s not for you then take a trip to Newcastle Gateshead in the Quayside, here you will be sure to find the more mainstream pubs and bars where you may be lucky to catch a world famous DJ or even a celebrity!
You will also find The Gate which is a complex of bars, restaurants and it even has a cinema. If you fancy somewhere really lively take a trip down to the Pink Triangle which is next to the central station. This is where you will find all the action from the local gay and lesbian scene. However that isn’t for everyone so if you fancy just a quiet pint of real ale hand pulled from the pumps; visit the Crown Posada which is one of the oldest pubs in town.
