The Argentinian city of Rosario is located in the Santa Fe province and is rapidly becoming a popular tourism destination for international travellers. Popular Attractions
The most popular attraction in Rosario is the Parque Nacional a la Bandera and Monumento de la Bandera, a giant monument and park honouring the Argentinian flag as well as its designer, General Manuel Belgrano. The large monument is clearly visible throughout Rosario and extends nearly five hundred feet into the air to dominate the skyline. Entry to the park is free. The Observatorio Astronómico Planetario is another popular destination that boasts a working observatory as well as an astronomy museum. The planetarium has a separate section devoted just to children which includes hands on exhibits and exciting experiments that kids will adore. Entry to the entire museum and planetarium is thirty pesos per person.
Dining and Nightlife in Rosario
There is absolutely no shortage of delicious restaurants in the city of Rosario. Argentinian cuisine is often considered to be a mix of Mediterranean and Middle Eastern flavours. Of course, the country known for beef production also includes heart asado barbecue as part of its traditional cuisine. Be sure to visit a traditional asado restaurant that prepares steaks, chorizo and even sweetbreads. The people of Rosario have a distinctly sweet tooth as well. Stop by any local bakery to taste the delicious dulce de leche sauce found on ice cream, in cookies and to top any dessert. Nightclubs can be found throughout the city and often don’t get busy until well after midnight. Be prepared to party until the sunrise the next day!
